The Rapla County Culinary Route forms a heart on the map — fitting for a journey shaped by people who cook with care, passion, and a deep sense of place.
At Ööbiku Gastronomy Farm (Falstaff recommends), chef Ants Uustalu creates dinners rooted in local produce and seasonal forest flavours. SOO Restaurant (MICHELIN recommends 2025, Falstaff Estonia Top 10) in Maidla balances modern cooking with global influences, all built on carefully chosen ingredients.
In the centre of Rapla, Bakelin Pagaristuudio offers fresh pastries, artisan bread and the best coffee in town. A few steps away you’ll find SushiMushi, a Rapla-born sushi café chain that brings a touch of the exotic to the main street.
Kohila adds its own signature with TOHI Distillery, where small-batch award-winning gins are crafted. Those with a sweet tooth can visit Jäämari to see how berries and fruit become fresh, handmade ice cream. And in summer, Hütt serves pizzas and antipasti on a cosy terrace.
For a closer look at local food from the ground up, Tõrvaaugu Organic Farm introduces you to buckwheat and the products made from it. In Sulu village, the Sillaotsa self-service shop sells bread and pasta prepared with dedication. The family behind Ehe Koduresto home restaurant welcomes guests into their own living room for a heartfelt gourmet dinner.
Every stop along the route offers a chance to slow down, learn something new, or simply taste food made with intention. Take your time and let Rapla County’s flavours speak for themselves.
Happy tasting!
