Paluküla-Loosalu nature trail

Hiiemäe, Paluküla, Kehtna vald

The Loosalu–Paluküla nature trail is a hidden gem in Rapla County, combining an exquisite bog landscape, Estonia’s largest bog lake, and views from the highest peak in Western Estonia.

The boardwalk leads through the bog to Loosalu Lake, and then the path continues between forests and hills. Hiking on the trail offers an opportunity to experience the silence of nature and listen to the natural rhythm of the bog and forest. The round-trip journey of approximately 15 km offers ample time to enjoy expansive views and hidden natural moments. At the Loosalu end of the hiking trail, there is a campfire site and picnic area, with firewood and a dry toilet available.
