Mukri nature trail

Käru metskond 55, Ellamaa küla, Kehtna vald

The Mukri Bog formed approximately 10,000 years ago and is considered one of the oldest bogs in Estonia.

A boardwalk leads into the bog, running as a round-trip trail suitable for hiking with children. At the heart of the bog lies the 2.2-hectare Mukri Lake, dotted with small islands and water lilies – perfect for a refreshing swim for those who dare. In late summer, you can also enjoy picking and tasting wild berries from the bog mounds.

From the 18-meter-high observation tower, you can take in a breathtaking view of the entire bog. For an even more adventurous experience, try a bog-shoe hike! At one end of the trail, there is a cozy picnic area where you can rest and enjoy a meal after your exploration.

Come and experience the beauty and tranquility of the Mukri Bog!
